Will GM Sell GM China for Opel?
The GM board rejected the latest deal of the Opel sale to the Magna offeror much to Berlin's chagrin. Now it appears all parties are back in negotiations but rumours are rife that GM may actually try to keep Opel and raise cash by leveraging or even selling its assets in China. The recent round of manager shuffling at GM China certainly leads one to believe that direction of GM's most profitable and important component is unclear. Despite the drama in the executive suites, GM China continues to advance. Only 2 weeks ago GM celebrated its one millionth vehicle sale in China....
