China - Pakistan Strengthen Ties
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is meeting at Yekaterinburg, Russia, and observor nations Pakistan, India, and Mongolia are in attendance. Iran - the first observer nation invited to the group - is absent due to a contested presidential election.
At the meeting China and Pakistan agreed to enhance the China-Pakistan Cooperative Partnership. Pakistan pledged top level support for the estimated 10,000 Chinese currently working at over 100 development projects in the country. No specific mention of Gwadar port that this author can find at this time....
