China and Guinea-Bissau: Honeymoon Over?


President Vieira of Guinea-Bissau has been assassinated and the country is once again torn between rivals. Beijing has spent million$ in the past few years in an effort to secure fishing and perhaps someday mineral rights in Guinea-Bissau but most importantly diplomatic recognition won back from Taipei.
